Mainly due to the storage situation, I have never got round to sorting out any buildings. Then David Gale put me onto Total Battle Miniatures (http://www.totalbattleminiatures.com/bigbattalions/15mm/blackpowdereurope.html)
The key thing about these buildings, are the footprints, either 50mm x 50mm or 100mm x 50mm. This I realised was ideal for my requirements in so many ways.
For ITGM I needed both “villages” (18cm x 18cm bases) and isolated houses. By not attaching buildings to village bases I could:
- swap and change buildings on village bases for variety
- store village bases flat in a box file
- use buildings as isoloated buildings as/when
So off I went and bought a town set, painted for £100.
So I should get 3 village bases, 1 church base (figured that would look better on its own) and they all will fit into 2 box files. Next step is to actually get them based up. May need a 15mm graveyard.
